Conejo Valley Family Medical Group affiliated with Ventura County Medical Center is currently seeking for a Full-Time qualified Medical Receptionist .We are looking for an individual who enjoys working with people, while treating everyone with dignity and respect. Must provide excellent customer service skills and excellent phone etiquette with the ability to prioritize and work in a busy & fast pace environment. Medical Office experience is a plus; Bilingual Spanish/English highly preferred.

Job Purpose:

Under direction of Front Office Supervisor/Clinic Manager, the receptionist performs a variety of clerical duties in support of health care delivery and medical office operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform all duties in accordance with applicable company, safety, patient, and regulatory requirements. Duties include the following:

Greets patients in person and/or by telephone.

Directs visitors/patients by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.

Registers patients and verifies insurance coverage.

Verifies schedules for appropriate appointment types, schedules appointments including specialty appointments.

Confirms patient appointments for the following day.

Updating files and charts and provides assistance in completion of forms and checks documents for accuracy and completion. Prints daily appointment schedule, sets up and maintains records and logs.

Operates a variety of office equipment including computers.

May train or orient new employees and assist supervisor and other duties as assigned.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related assignments as needed.

Comply and keep current with accreditation standards and federal, state and local regulatory requirements.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

Professional telephone etiquette, clear verbal communication skills, professionalism, customer focus, efficient and accurate.

Experience with automated databases, Microsoft Office,electronic medical records and standard PC Software applications preferred.

Strong Organizational and Exceptional Interpersonal skills

Reliability and Team Work is highly important

Must abide by the VCMC Compliance Program and the Code of Conduct.

Education/Experience:

High School graduate or equivalent.

Clerical experience.

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
