Advanced Structural Technologies (AST) is an industry leading manufacturer of rotary forged and flow formed products for the automotive, defense, aerospace and alternative energy markets. As a fully integrated contract manufacturing business, all process steps are completed on site in ASTs 100,000 sq. ft. facility.

AST is located in Oxnard California, the Gateway to Californias Central CoastĀ, located 60 miles northwest of Los Angeles and 2 miles from the Pacific Ocean.

Responsibilities of the position include:

Institute effective administrative procedures to assure accuracy, privacy and timeliness of all employee records.

Coordinate with insurance companies on health, dental, and workers compensation issues.

Maintains employee benefits programs and inform employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends.

Assist employees by answering policy and benefit related questions, and listen to employee concerns or suggestions related to safety, morale or government compliance issues.

Ensures government compliance with all applicable. OSHA, EEO, ADA, and other laws.

Alert management to any potential liabilities or impending legal requirements which could impact the business.

Coordinate all hiring and termination activity.

Conduct new employee orientations to promote company and team spirit, explain benefits and company policy, and describe corporate history and values

Represent company at personnel related hearings

Work with department managers to keep updated job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.

Enforce the priorities of safety, housekeeping, quality, service and productivity.

Requirements for the position include:

Bachelor's degree in related field is desired.

Minimum of five years related experience in a similar type of industry/company.

Must be able to collaborate and build positive relationships with other departments in order to effectively make recommendations and implement process improvements.
