Our firm practices exclusively family law and is a small, but busy, fun and growing office in the Westlake Village area. We focus on high conflict dissolution and modification cases involving complex financial, child custody and domestic violence issues.
Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' recent family law experience in Ventura and/or Los Angeles County.
You should be comfortable interacting with clients, assisting clients in preparing their Preliminary Declaration of Disclosure, drafting global settlement proposals and all types of pleadings, drafting Requests for Order with accompanying declarations and points and authorities, drafting and responding to discovery, handling matters from start to finish including taking and defending depositions, preparing clients for mediation, attending hearings, communicating with experts including forensic accountants, participating in 4-ways and going to trial. The more familiarity you have with the local rules of court, California family code, evidence code and code of civil procedure, the better. You should also be highly proficient in doing legal research.
