Plaintiff's firm located in Oxnard, specializing in litigation, seeks a full-time PARALEGAL with a minimum of 2 years of experience. We are looking for a self-starter, team player, who will take initiative in completing tasks, and has the ability to multitask. Excellent writing, problem solving, litigation experience, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
-Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and empathy for individuals dealing with tragedy;
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel);
-Experience with Abacus (calendaring and form generation);
-Excellent pleading formatting and proof-reading skills;
-Experience propounding and responding to Discovery;
-Computer savvy, organized, and able to multi-task and prioritize work;
-Type at least 60 w.p.m.;
-Knowledge of pre-litigation and litigation procedures.
