I own a small production company that produces content that helps business increase their sales. This includes promo videos, podcasts, and live streaming events. I'm looking for a production assistant who can help with the following:
Preproduction:
- Setup projects in our project management system and help onboard new clients.
- Manage shoot calendar with clients, talent and crew
- Produce call sheets for production days
- Setup necessary gear rentals
- Assist with getting film permits
- Help prep gear
Production:
- Pickup gear rentals when needed
- Help setup equipment at shoot locations: cameras, sound, lighting, etc.
- Take notes during production
- Be flexible to help out with a variety of production needs as they arise
- Pack up equipment
- Return rentals when needed
Post Production
- Offload and organize footage from shoots to our NAS
- Set up Premiere project files with footage, sequences and other imported digital assets to be ready for editing
- Upload videos to our vimeo account for client review
Additional abilities that would be great to have:
- Update images, videos and text in Wordpress
- Basic editing in Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, and After Effects
- Source digital assets from stock sound, music, video and photo websites
Must Haves:
- Reliable transportation
- Positive attitude
- Desire to take on responsibility and learn about film/video production
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience working on Apple computers and accessing file servers
- Ability to problem solve issues that pop up
- Care about the details and listen to understand what's needed.
I need a 20 hour a week commitment typically during M-F, although some production might happen over a weekend. The schedule is flexible for pre and post production hours. This is a great opportunity for someone who's hungry to gain experience producing film and video.
