There's an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing software firms in the real estate industry! Yardi Systems is searching to a full time Associate Web Designer to join their growing office in Oxnard, CA!
Under immediate supervision, the Associate Web Designer is responsible for supporting the maintenance and ongoing design of websites. The Associate Web Designer assists in creating web page layout and online content, user interface graphics, icons, color schemes, content and infrastructure for new product releases and new web-hosted product offerings. Focused on look and functionality of our websites, the Associate Web Designer works with client specifications to define markups and create style-sheets for complex, information-rich web applications. Additionally, may assist in performing web usability testing.
Responsibilities
Translates informational or marketing content into a functional website design
Partners with marketing and development staff on style and approach for projects
Creates design elements, comps, templates, and implements finished solutions
Ensures that all design elements, templates and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types and different devices along with the constraints set by development and design
Designs websites that are easy to access and visually effective
Writes Web pages in a combination of codes such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Maintains and provides ongoing design of websites
Tests websites for functionality
Works directly with clients and or services teams to deliver website designs or modifications
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Web Design, Art or related field or equivalent academic and work experience
One to two years of experience in Web-based graphic design or web interface design desired
Knowledge of HTML Web technologies and applications
Familiarity with backend/CMS application
Experience with HTML5
Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to learn new technologies
Written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 desired
Experience in JavaScript/jQuery, Bootstrap Front-end framework or similar tools for creating websites and web applications desired
