Robert Half Technology is looking for Help Desk Analysts like you to join our team! We're seeking someone with a can-do attitude who is looking to be part of a highly motivated team. If you're looking for work where you can represent the Service Desk by liaising with 2nd and 3rd level teams to help transition new and changing services this Service Desk Analyst job might be for you. Sometimes that involves creating knowledge articles and arranging training for other Service Desk Analysts when needed. This job's main duty is handling complex end-user support issues and providing support to team members by focusing on restoring service to the end users. It is important for the chosen candidate to understand how their role as the Help Desk Analyst relates to IT projects and IT Service Management initiatives. We also need the chosen candidate for this position to understand Incident, Problem, Change Management and other processes. One of the most important parts, though, is how these processes work together to provide superior support and high availability of our business. There is a chance that you could cover alternative shifts when needed. We're seeking a self-confident, motivated person with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills who enjoys a fast-paced, team-driven environment. A position with a short-term temporary availability recently became available with a company in the Non-Profit field. Located in Vernon, California, this Help Desk Analyst II role will be a short-term temporary opening.

Major responsibilities

- Meet and exceed SLA standards: Close tickets in a timely manner, while upholding customer service standards

- Understand concepts related to networks, servers, PCs, databases, proprietary systems, etc.

- This job succeeds when it can facilitate user account management by handling onboarding, change and departure processes

- Provide guidance to Tier 1 support and team members

- Understand and utilize ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, etc.) and how they are used in a corporate environment

- Troubleshoot end user issues: Provide root-cause analysis on various web and mobile applications; handle escalated tickets relating to server/network related issues

- Maintain hardware and peripherals: Responsible for upgrading and replacing computer parts; handle documentation and asset inventory

Requirements

TOP MUST HAVES:

- A qualified candidate would be able to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction

- This position will be the best fit for a candidate with technical skills to serve as escalation point for handling incidents and service requests related to application, operating system and other service related problems

- 3+ years' of experience supporting desktop/server operating systems and technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, Exchange and VMware

- This position will be best given to a person with ITIL certification

- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds

- Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively

- Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing

- Working knowledge in one or more programming or scripting language

- Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight

- DacEasy(Windows) experience preferred

- Strong familiarity with Ceridian Windows

- Adeptness in DocumentDirect for Windows (DDW)

- Command of BusinessWorks for Windows

- Comprehensive knowledge of ADP Windows

- Datawindows experience highly desired
