Web Developer (Ruby on Rails) - Remote The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our client, a multinational IT company specialized in consumer products (hardware & software) and services. Location: Fully Remote within United States Duration: 12-month contract with possibility of renewal. Candidate must be eligible for direct W2 contract employment. Job Descriptions: The Web Developer will be responsible of the development and design of web applications and components. You will:
- Design, code, test, and implement web sites and applications, for either internal or external uses.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues surrounding performance, response times, capacity and system limitations.
- Responsible for creating and modifying documentation corresponding to websites.
- May collaborate with internal business partners, internal technology resources (database, system, networking) and with external vendors.
- Maintain and update websites and ensure data quality, integrity and consistency across organization.
- Minimum 7 years of application development experience using Ruby on Rails.
- Must have web application experience, both front end and back end development.
- Team leading experience.
- Experience in architecture and design of API's that are consumed.
- Understanding of RSPEC, PostgreSQL, and RESTful API's concepts and best practices.
- Clear and efficient communication skills with both technical and business teams.
- Knowledge and previous utilization of JQuery.
- Linux Experience.
- GoLang experience is a plus.
