We are a swimming pool service and repair company. We have pool service routes; we install and repair pool equipment and we also do some pool remodeling work. We have been in business in Tulare for over 35 years.
Our ideal potential employee is a mature adult who:
Has a valid California driver's license with a very good driving record. Our commercial auto policy does not accommodate drivers who are under 25 years of age.
Is able to pass a drug test because he does not use drugs (this also means he does not have a "marijuana card".
Does not have a history of repeated contact with law enforcement.
We prefer a nonsmoker.
Has a basic education and is able to read, write and do basic math.
Is in good health, has no difficulty being on his feet for most of the work day and is capable of lifting 50lbs unassisted.
Have no visible tattoos.
We would prefer to hire someone with a minimum of one year experience working as a pool service tech and or pool repair tech. We are willing to train an inexperienced person with these qualifiers:
The applicant needs to have good skills working with hand tools.
Mechanical ability such as experience in repair and installation of electrical or plumbing is useful.
This person needs to be able to communicate well with customers.
Someone who has worked has a "handyman" would have the skills necessary.
It takes a full year to train an inexperienced person; this person needs to be willing and able to apply himself to the task of learning our business.
The job is full time, year round, Monday thru Friday, forty hours a week with overtime. We do not offer retirement or health insurance benefits. The starting wage for a person with no experience is $13.00 per hour and the applicants' skill level is a consideration for the starting wage.
