Seeking someone who can do "guy stuff" with young men with developmental disabilities such as intellectual disability or autism. Job duties involve assisting with activities of daily living such as meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, money management, banking, medical appointments, social activities, sometimes court appointments, and advocating on clients behalf with landlords, probation officers, medical personnel, etc.
Computer literacy necessary, car, clear driving record, insurance, and ability to pass DOJ fingerprint test.
Part time work to start, but can lead to full time. Hours flexible and set between you and the client. Pay $13-$15 hr., depending on experience and ability to perform job.
Bilingual Spanish a plus, but not necessary.
Most important qualification is passion for the job and ability to engage young men in working toward independence.
