San Joaquin Valley Homes is seeking an experienced Assistant Purchasing Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing budgeting, and construction contract administration for several home building projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review plans, develop amenity levels and estimate costs
Prepare and maintain subcontractor scopes of work
Manage trades and bidding processes
Negotiate and award contracts
Process change orders
Manage accurate data entry in builder software systems
Identify value engineering and cost saving opportunities
Prepare construction budgets
Track market costs, identify trends and monitor product research
Requirements:
College degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years' experience
Construction estimating and field experience
Accounting/budgeting experience
Established relationships with construction trades preferred
Ability to read and understand construction plans
Accuracy and organization a must
Salary:
Salary $70,000 - $90,000 DOE, Excellent benefit package, including 401 K Plan.
