Our Distribution company is looking for an immediate "Full-Time" Warehouse Operations Mgr./Shipper. Hours are 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. Will oversee the warehouse and maintain inventory control, quality control, warehouse organization and cleanliness, receive in vendor shipments, customer authorized returns and shipping out orders. Will also answer phones to assist customers as a back up, so someone with excellent verbal/communication skills is a Must.
Experience is highly preferred within the warehouse environment, with computer skills. including shipping, stocking, receiving, product pulling, inventory control. Must have computer skills.
MUST posses Superior attention to detail, have excellent "time management" skills, great communications/verbal skills and works well with others & able to multi task with a sense of urgency. No slackers need apply.
Must Be Able to:
1. Pull and ship orders on a daily basis in a timely/efficient manner with great accuracy/well packaged to company standards to ensure customers receive their orders in perfect condition (and accurately) . So able to read customer packing list orders clearly and pull accurately as ordered.
2. Receiving in product authorized returns and incoming vendor shipments, inspecting quality of received vendor shipments before stocking product on the shelves. Matching purchase order with received shipments to ensure accuracy of received vendor shipments vs. what was purchased (from PO's). Handle any discrepancies in a timely fashion.
3. Manage physical product inventory counts and be responsible for stock levels at all times
4. Assist with Supervision of other staff as needed.
5. Have a minimum of 3+ years "recent" experience in this field with shipping, warehouse/inventory control.
6. Excellent attention to Detail, Team player, Positive "can do" attitude. Able to follow instruction/direction
7. Able to work with the public too as there will be some local customers who order and pick up their orders locally. So interactive skills with customers is needed and able to feel comfortable with showing product/sales.
8. Must be extremely reliable/dependable and show up on time every day for the assigned work shift.
9. Able to lift up to 75lbs., bend, lift, reach and stoop throughout the day and able to be on feet for most of the day. Able to work in a warehouse environment.
10. Able to use the computer/have at least intermediate computer skills, including using the internet, google and our social media platforms such as Instagram and FaceBook.
11. Must have reliable transportation with current auto insurance, as at times, may be needed to pick up warehouse/office supplies or make a run to the post office if need be if any packages are left over that were not picked up by the carrier on a Friday afternoon (before the weekend).
We ship via USPS, UPS and FEDEX - We use WorldShip Sofware and USPS shipping software. So some experience/knowledge of this software is preferred. Experience is needed within the warehouse environment, with computer skills. including stocking, receiving, product pulling, shipping.
Pay is starting at $14+/hour DOE.
