Looking for experienced Solar Field Techs with PC/Networking skills preferred to start ASAP with Full benefits and a company truck. This position is for Operation and Maintenance of Solar sites. NOT a Solar Installation position.
Willing to train an IT tech experienced applicant wanting to work in the Solar Field.
Scope of Work:
Provide onsite response regarding the proper operation of solar facilities, including preventive and corrective maintenance services. Knowledgeable in electrical or mechanical, a strong background in service repair is preferred.
Hourly pay equivalent to 40K-55K per year. Starting pay based on experience.
Working Conditions:
Generally, Solar Technicians work in outdoor weather conditions exposed to ambient temperatures.
Approximately 50% in the field and 50% monitoring, documentation and reporting
Responsibilities:
Understand and practice safety regulations and work procedures.
Perform testing/troubleshooting of solar equipment and systems with guidance from supervisor.
Perform preventative maintenance and repair with little to no guidance on electrical systems or solar equipment/systems.
Work on-call on the assigned solar plants.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated the ability to recognize hazards related to the work and the ability to mitigate them with use of PPE, tooling, equipment and procedure.
Demonstrated the ability to effectively Lock Out- Tag Out energized systems.
Demonstrated use of electrical testing and troubleshooting equipment.
Preferred the ability to read basic schematics and technical data.
