Join us and together we will drive the future of health care .This is an exceptional opportunity to do innovative work that means more to you and those we serve at one of America's leading health benefits companies and a Fortune Top 50 CompanyLocation: Any Anthem LocationThe Business Information Consultant position is responsible for analyzing data and researching as appropriate to support business needs (e.g. provider profiling), developing reports, conducting program assessments, and translating data trends into strategic recommendations for program development and action plans with a focus on Medicaid and Medicare network providers.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.

Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.

Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.

Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.

May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.

Data analysis and reporting encompasses a much higher level of complexity.

Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership or external customers.

Evaluates special programs / projects and their effectiveness as requested and ensures appropriate metrics are defined and monitored to assess business impact.

Leads working sessions and facilitates project meetings as needed.

I

BS/BA degree (prefer Economics, Finance, Statistics, Math, Bus Admin or MBA)

Minimum of 5 years experience in data analysis and reporting, etc. or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Ability to manage, maintain and manipulate large sets of data.

Candidate should possess demonstrated leadership, problem solving, organizational, planning, analysis, and presentation skills.

Must have ability to translate technical concepts into meaningful business discussions.

Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, relational database tools, proficiency required; must have demonstrated experience with building reports, charts, graphs, pivot tables, and lookups.

Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is a plus.

Medicaid/Medicare knowledge/experience is beneficial, but not required.

Previous experience with Payor Membership and Claims Adjudication Platforms preferred.

Previous experience with DataMarts such as Teradata and SQL server and have the ability to query preferred.
