What you’ll be doing Verizon is investing in its network to improve the way we live, work, and communicate. Our network transformation will be critical for all our future connectivity businesses including new products such as IoT, 5G, and future smart cities. As part of this network transformation, you will help build one network engineered for growth for all lines of business.
Leading a team of Engineers and Project Managers in the design, engineering and implementation of fiber optic infrastructure, optical distribution networks (ODN) and transmission technologies across major metropolitan markets.
Understanding business drivers, technological direction and market conditions necessary for developing and implementing cost effective and highly reliable fiber optic transport networks.
Being adept at next generation transmission / ODN technologies and outside plant (OSP) construction and permitting practices.

Communicating complex details in a way that people can understand comes naturally to you. You enjoy collaborating with people at all levels in the organization and are very good at making sure all stakeholders are in the loop. You enjoy leading and developing a team to make a big impact in a large, fast paced environment.You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to be on-call after hours and on weekends.
Even better if you have:
A degree.
Previous leadership experience in a 24x7 Network Operations Center.
FTTP PON based technology experience.
Managed a high performing team.
Worked with multifunctional teams.
Managed complex processes.
Adaptability to change and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
