Join us and together we will drive the future of health care.This is an exceptional opportunity to do innovative work that means more to you and those we serve at one of America's leading health benefits companies and a Fortune Top 50 Company.Risk Contracting Strategy DirectorSeveral positions availableLocation: Any Anthem Office in Southern and Northern California, as well as any Anthem Office in the following states: Colorado, Ohio, Indiana, Georgia, New York and Virginia.The Risk Contracting Strategy Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership for assigned region around expansion and adoption of risk contracting arrangements, including plan design, creation, management, and strategic planning in coordination and collaboration with multiple matrix partners. Primary duties include , but are not limited to:

Identify and recommend to local Provider Solutions Lead and enterprise SMEs, physician groups to move to risk.

Actively participate in network strategy meetings and develop a 1-2 year pipeline for risk contracting.

Support effective negotiation of complex risk contracting agreements for all products throughout the region, including FPCC and risk deals.

Train and Coach PS associates how to negotiate risk deals.

Guide/direct the implementation of risk deals to ensure clean, effective execution to increase provider confidence taking on risks, in support of Anthem’s highest strategic goals.

Help identify best practices with managing risk deals ongoing and spread best practices quickly to increase Anthem’s results.

Where appropriate, help support network teams with standing up product partnerships that include elements of risk.

Collaborates and coordinates work with other departments within the business unit, and many matrix partners within the company, including but not limited to Finance, Actuarial, IT, and HCM.

Reports various results through various venues as well as to the leadership team.

Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; 10-15 years of leadership/management experience in health care management, marketing products, and managing significant business results; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

50% - 60% domestic travel.

MBA preferred.

Previous P&L and/or project management experience in health care setting preferred.

Excellent quantitative, marketing, financial, and strategic skills required.
