Job Description:The primary focus of the BMH Data Quality team is to support the adoption of the BAC Mortgage Hub by downstream users and fulfilling all of their data requirements as well as ensuring the integrity of the data within the BAC Mortgage Hub. Primary users of the BAC Mortgage Hub data are enterprise-wide finance, regulatory and risk groups. The team is also accountable for supporting all initiatives related to changes, current and new sourcing of data.This position manages the BMH Data Quality team, which entails oversight responsibility for 5 employees in the US and 3 remote employees in India.The manager in this role leads projects relating to change initiatives impacting enterprise finance and risk functions, such as CCAR, SEC, Regulatory Reporting, and Corporate Tax. Assists enterprise finance and risk groups in adopting BAC Mortgage Hub as authorized data source for meeting BASEL Risk Data Aggregation guidelines. Works closely with key finance and risk functions in analyzing requirements and data to make certain financial and analytic deliverables are being satisfied appropriately. Responsible for contributions to the design, development and completion of project deliverables. Accountable for the build out and management of data validation processes and checks used to test accuracy of financial / product data. Works closely with Mortgage Controllers during month-end close in ensuring integrity of results used in financial reporting and analysis. Will participate and support SOX 404 and enterprise data management compliance requirements, as needed.Candidate will utilize SQL to lead and participate in a number of concurrent projects related to the servicing, accounting and reporting activities in the Mortgage Controller space. Candidate must be able to participate in system enhancement and data management projects that impact the reliability and availability of key business elements used in the process of generating internal and external reports. Candidate must be able to support data integration or data analysis in varying architectures. Must be flexible and capable of adapting to an ever evolving business environment where requirements are driven by management and government policy directives.Key responsibilities and accountabilities

Accountable for ensuring integrity of data within BMH for key fields and consistent usage of data across key downstream user groups

Accountable for BMH data quality (DQ) development and production, inclusive of: 1) Ensures DQ rules for assigned fields are meaningful, accurate, and have an appropriate level of precision, 2) Performs monthly SOX review of select DQ rules, 3) Assesses materiality impact of valid DQ issues on downstream financial reports/disclosures or analytics/modeling, 4) Document findings and partners with either Mortgage Data Technology or Consumer Bank Data Management on resolution of issue(s), lead efforts for resolution of DQ issues, other ad-hoc analysis and project efforts

Accountable for leading BMH enterprise adoption, data enhancements and data quality development & monthly review efforts

Review and approve requirements and data mappings for enterprise adoption and new sourcing efforts

Management and allocation of tasks and resources

Qualifications and experiencesRequired

Ten years bank, mortgage bank or financial services company experience

Advanced SQL skills

Significant GAAP/regulatory accounting knowledge and experience

Project and personnel management abilities as well as change management experience

Deep knowledge of the mortgage industry and related accounting methodologies; detailed knowledge of upstream SORs (systems of record), related business processes and SOR data

Detailed knowledge of data quality rule development processes

Direct knowledge of Enterprise end user processes

Ability to write detailed business requirements for Enterprise adoptions and enhancements to BMH

Ability to manage large scale projects

Bachelor’s degree

Knowledge of SOX, capital, banking compliance and regulations

Knowledge of SEC disclosure and banking regulatory reporting requirements Preferred

CPA, CFA or MBA Skills and competencies
