Project Scope:

Our client has an immediate need for a Manager of DevOps with the following skills and experience:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain your teams' roadmap to utilize fully automated, highly scalable, cost- efficient, auditable, and reliable infrastructure.
  • Partner closely with your peers in Security, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Product teams to improve quality and velocity of teams' deliverables using goal setting, metrics, quarterly and annual planning and prioritization.
  • Drive performance by managing, motivating and developing direct reports and future leaders.
  • Provide technical guidance and support via engineering design reviews to teams planning and implementing large-scale solutions, deployment of service-oriented architecture and capacity growth.
  • Directs the activities necessary to design and develop innovative technical solutions for programs as well as ensure the necessary technology infrastructure is running seamlessly, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Scale and lead an innovative, best-in-class product management team by identifying and recruiting top talent.
  • Ensure the provision of appropriate resources to address systems' incident support and troubleshooting.
  • Oversees the review and implementation of recommendations of technical solutions across multiple functions.
  • Leverages partnerships with IT teams and vendors to ensure written code adheres to company architectural standards, design patterns, and technical specifications.
  • Accountable for ensuring specific interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures, and functions support technical solutions and are aligned with architectural designs and patterns.
  • Oversees the management of application portfolios and/or provides resources in support of those portfolios by leveraging partnerships with IT teams; Operations, Architecture,

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS, Engineering or related field and minimum five (5) years of experience in supporting software development and operations via methods like automated deployments, infrastructure as code in a public cloud (Google Cloud Platform, AWS).
  • 5 years of hands-on experience managing or overseeing the management of mid to large-scale information technology projects, including complex cross-functional and cross- organizational projects.
  • 3 years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership (e.g., First Vice President level and above).
  • 2 years' experience overseeing vendor relationships.
  • Successful candidate will have experience managing and implementing Cloud architectures in a DevOps/Agile methodology.
  • Proven track record of success managing DevOps/Engineering teams in high-functioning continuous delivery environment that supports outcomes for the business.
  • Mastery of modern agile software methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and planning tools (e.g. JIRA)
  • Successful track record of defining and executing strategic and innovative initiatives which have had major impact on company and market performance.
  • Demonstrable understanding of all layers of cloud infrastructure in highly available platform.
