Job DescriptionTier 2 application support engineers work hand in hand with our Robotics Engineering departments to understand, deploy, optimize and provide on-going support of the inVia Robotics Autonomous Retrieval Systems while helping to operationalize new features and functionalities for our Tier 1 Support staff in the Robot Operations Center (ROC).This role also acts as a point of contact for our Tier 1 ROC Engineers to escalate more complicated issues that require in-depth working knowledge and expertise of the application and systems outside of the Tier 1 teams’ scope and ability to resolve.

Responsibilities- Create and document processes and procedures for all tasks, systems, and new tools released from Engineering and provide training to the Tier 1 organization.- Become intimately aware of the core products and how fulfillment workflows integrate from the customer to all inVia systems.- Respond to customer inquiries and emails during all hours of support, including on-call rotating schedule for weekends and holidays. - Perform complex queries to troubleshoot and customize application configurations per customer request in inVia’s proprietary software.- Attends meetings with Engineering teams in order to provide insight as well as steer efforts for an operationally sound result.- Serves as an escalation point to resolve application-based issues fielded by Tier 1 support.- Make improvements to new production sites in order to pass to T1 resources for production monitoring.- Assist ROC Management in ensuring quality control in a dynamic and scaling environment.- Maintain and improve support quality per organizational KPIs- Assist T1 in managing production sites as needed.- Flexibility with work hours and workdays- Ability to prioritize and logistically support multiple production environments at a fast and dynamic pace when required for peak season.

Initial Robotic System Setup- All robotic system and DB driven application provisioning and configuration.- Site optimization in robotic picking simulations to maximize throughput.- Monitor and execute the release of engineering updates into prod (robots and application)- Initial testing and configuration of Robotics Systems at new customer sites with requirements.

Desirables:- No Robotics Experience Required. - Linux experience 1-3 years (more familiarity the better)- 2 years of Postgres experience or other SQL Driven DB - Technical customer application support experience. - Monitoring nation-wide or global infrastructure on a 24/7 basis for health and uptime- Excellent communication written, verbal, and intercultural. Will be communicating with the customer by email and chat. - Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts.- High energy, self-motivation, and a dedication to excellence - motivated to take on difficult and rewarding challenges- Ambitious, curious, and eager to learn - excited about robotics and logistics

Nice to Have- Technical Degree or Certification- Accustomed to 24/7 on-call rotation
