In this role, you will contribute to developing, optimizing and implementing new technologies, techniques and protocols. You will also assist senior team members with developing and executing a Cell Biology innovation strategy.Formula for Success: You Will…

Coordinate with breeding, operations and research teams to ensure the effective delivery of Cell Biology “products” ( e.g ., doubled haploids, somatic embryos, micropropagation).

Optimize and execute new technologies and protocols in a defined project to create added value for the departments of R&D, OPE and M&S.

Assist Cell Biology managers in developing project plans (including milestone definition, scheduling and resource requirements).

Ensure execution of Cell Biology protocols and work practices conform to global HSE, Hygiene and Stewardship policies and local laws and regulations.

Assist with budget and capacity planning and scheduling and communication of state of operations relative to agreed KPIs.

Communicate effectively with other members of project teams and the R&Dcommunity.

Qualifications· BSc or MSc in plant biology, biotechnology or a related field· BSc with 4 years of experience or MSc with 1 years of experience with plant tissue culture in an academic or industry lab· Sound understanding of and experience with cell biology practices and protocols· Hands on experience in areas such as DH production, micropropagation, cryopreservation and somatic embryogenesis.· Experience working with vegetable crops such as watermelon, melon, onion and tomato in laboratory, GH and field settings.· Experience in Experimental design, protocol development and technology transfer· Good communication skills; comfortable working in multi-disciplinary teams· Precise, detailed analytic approach and good project management skills· Excellent planning, organization and execution skills· Proficient in English· Functional competencies: analytical thinking, interpersonal skills, solving problems, entrepreneurshipCreate Your Own Chemistry: What We Offer YouAdding value to our customers begins with adding value to you. you@BASF is the suite of benefits, perks, programs and unique opportunities we offer to support you—the whole you—in all stages of your life and career.
