Our client is a well established research company leading the way in laser ablation-based elemental analysis. Their world-class scientific and engineering teams have developed a suite of analytical instruments to simply the process fo elemental analysis.

The Software Engineer develops software for analytical instruments by writing code, researching functionality, and troubleshooting software-related issues under general supervision. This position will report directly to the Manager of Software Engineering.

Job Details

Requirements:

Knowledge of graphical software language, specifically LabVIEW
C#, C knowledge is a plus
Experience in object-oriented programming
Experience with version-control systems
Aptitude for learning new technologies quickly
Problem solving skills
Detail oriented
Prioritization skills

Functions and Responsibilities:

Integration of different system components to establish proper communications among various system hardware components
GUI interface development
High speed data acquisition
Data processing and analysis (i.e. statistical analysis) of the acquired data
