DescriptionAre you a Billing Clerk looking for an opportunity to join a growing service company in the South Bay?Robert Half may have the Billing Clerk position for you.Billing Clerk Responsibilities:
Issue invoices daily to customers
Issue monthly customer statements
Update customer files with issued invoices
Update customer master file with billing procedures
Enter invoices into customer invoicing website (Portals)
Email or mail invoices to customers
Answer customer questions about invoices
Follow up with operation manager on missing support
Setup new customer specific billing templates
Follow up with customer on timely payment and send subsequent invoices when initial attempt to collect was unsuccessful
Assist accounting in month end revenue accruals
Required Qualifications for the Billing Clerk position:
High school Diploma / GED
3+ years billing industry experience (emergency response, environmental cleanup)
Knowledgeable and experienced in time and material billings as well as retainer billings
Basic proficiency in MS Excel (copy, paste, SUM, etc.)
Intermediate proficiency in Outlook (use search function)
Comfortable using electronic records (search folders)
Comfortable to contact operation manager by email or phone on daily basis
Attention to detail and organized
Ability to work in a changing environment
Ability to meet strict and short deadlines
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent customer service skills, in person, on the phone, and via email
