ITOM ArchitectLocation : Woodland hills, CA (Remote till pandemic)Duration : 12+ Month ContractJob Description : This is a key role for our infrastructure projects. It provides support for our global delivery data center infrastructure and operations teams, with an emphasis on OpsRamp and Nagios monitoring and plug-in development.This role is responsible to liaise with internal and external parties to solve infrastructure problems, provide technical advice to management and ensure that the infrastructure is stable.Responsibilities• Experience in deploying IT-Operations management tools such as Nagios and OpsRamp• Delivery of consulting services to install, configure, and integrate software products with a focus on the ITOM based products (discovery, service mapping, configuration management, event management)• Define and maintain Monitoring & Alerting criteria, and develop plug-ins to monitor servers, network devices, and enterprise storage systems• Develop custom software solutions as required through scripting and software development• Scripting and automation using Linux shell, Python, and Perl• REST API development• Perform testing of Nagios plug-ins in development environment, roll out to production and monitor/feedback for enhancement• Perform OS/Network and monitoring applications implementation• Provide ongoing technical support, problem investigation and resolution for OS, Network, Monitoring tools on 24x7 on-call basis• Responsible for vendor escalation• Develop/maintain system implementation documents, knowledge base, service reports and operational procedures• Assist with identification of implementation risks and with development of mitigation or avoidance plansQualifications• Strong scripting skills, using Linux shell, Perl, and Python• Significant experience in API integration and data mapping• System management and automation scripts development experience (using Powershell, WMI, VBScript, Shell, Perl, etc.)• Familiar with Linux, open source technologies, and IT operations procedures and standards• Experience with open source systems management and development tools, such as: Nagios, Apache, Ansible, git, and the ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack.• Configuration and deployment of Nagios and GroundWork• Familiar with Hitachi Vantara products (enterprise storage, blade and rack-mount servers)Must-have skills• Strong scripting skills, using Linux shell, Perl, and Python• Significant experience in API integration and data mappingDesired skills• ITOM developer or architect experience in some or all ITOM application areas (Service Mapping, SAM, Event Management, Cloud Orchestration, Operational Intelligence, Orchestration)• Integration experience (SOAP, REST, and JSON as well as JDBC and file imports)• Experience supporting implementation efforts using the Agile/Scrum methodologyVacancy expired!
