Job Description
The Solar Roof Lead will be responsible for managing solar installation projects to ensure policy compliance, quality standards, and project completion within schedule. The ideal candidate must be physically fit, reliable, and a hard-worker. The Solar Roof Lead will provide leadership, technical expertise and shall work cooperatively with team members to successfully complete the installation and maintenance of energy products while effectively communicating and updating project status with operations management staff.

Responsibilities
- General management duties, onsite leader managing projects, and an expert in all aspects of general operations including reading plan-sets, layouts, fire lane setbacks, installing routing strings, jbox set up, conduit bending, laying panels, testing stringsetc.
- Responsible for mentoring and training crew members on new processes, concepts, and products
- Oversee installation of roofing and energy systems based on site conditions and clients’ needs and expectations
- Troubleshoot technical issues for your crew and provide assistance to other crews as necessary
- Communicate with clients in a professional and respectful manner
- Ensure job, crew, and equipment safety
- Complete projects within a strict timeframe and budget.
- Other related duties as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in residential solar installation
- Minimum 1 year of experience in crew management within the construction industry
- Extensive knowledge in the roofing industry and best practices
- Must be able to maintain a high level of quality assurance with an emphasis on safety
- Must be able to work overtime, have flexible hours, and travel to job-sites
- Must possess strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Valid CA driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ability to lift, push and/or pull 50+ lbs. of equipment and materials on a regular basis
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work from heights
- Ability to work in various positions for extended periods
- Ability to work exposed in diverse outdoor weather conditions
