POSITION SUMMARY A Technical Services Analyst is responsible for installing, maintaining, and inspecting computer software and database systems by working closely with developers to ensure system consistency, and collaborate with administrators and clients to provide technical support and identify new requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain stable, reliable and effective databases Document new databases for bots, apps, and modernized software Review data base security integrity, assuring it meets data protection guidelines for encryption at rest and transport Create and maintain procedures and guidelines for accessing data across all systems Support API configurations, Azure integrations and document Monitor SQL databases (Sentry One) and recommend performance tuning to Systems Administrators Coordinate with Accenture to schedule database purges, cleansing, system refreshes for DBS Facilitate and train changes on the Targit Warehouse interfaces as needed and recommend security protection to key databases Optimize and maintain programs and all system documentation Maintain modernization documentation Utilize system tools for all technical documentation Create and maintain data mapping and system flow diagrams Modify programs and update documentation entries Write Sequel, and Query reports as needed to validate data integrity Review modernization products available to migrate legacy code Maintain technical documentation – Confluence Document new internal written programs by developers Provide recommendations on best practices for technical use and design Document network workflows Maintaining FAQ’s in-Service Desk Design and review all Adhoc requests with developers Provide Accenture, FDC and Contractors with data mapping, designs, and flow diagrams to communicate design requirements for Adhoc requests Work with contractors on apps, reporting, bots and programs Perform validation and approve requests Communicate with developers on new requests Utilize reporting and flow diagram tools to define program requirements Review data field integrity as requested by providers Review and document API requests, and all imports and exports Evaluate data quality and validation routines in file transport processes Create scorecard and monitor metrics Provide feedback to Caterpillar ETL and Helios audit reports Review audit reports from the data ETL and Helios interfaces Work with Key users to resolve issues regarding data integrity Assist with Common Data Model requests Verify field configuration requirements between new data base files and DBS Other duties as assigned Oversee all system and technical documentation for the entire department including network, service help desk and software updates, security, systems documentation Support help desk and process tickets Support software deployment Develop standard operating procedures Attend continuing education courses PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
