Quality Assurance Technician
A reputable food manufacturing company in the Yuba City area is hiring immediately for experienced quality assurance technicians.
Job Duties Include:
-Responsible for managing HACCP, GMPs, and safety/regulatory requirements
-Conduct metal detector checks following HACCP and/or Food Safety Plans
-Conduct pre-operational and/or operational swabbing
-Conduct all Critical Control Point/Preventive Control Point critical limit checks as per the HACCP
-Conduct temperature checks and documentation
-Audit all finished product packaging lot code accuracy, make corrections when needed
-Conduct thermometer calibration as directed by quality assurance supervisor
-Place product on hold as per HACCP and/or Food Safety Plans when a deviation occurs and alert plant management accordingly
-Ensure all employees are always following GMPs
-Conduct scale and balance checks daily
-Report any food safety and quality issues to Quality Assurance supervisor and/or QA manager
-Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring
-Conduct weight checks and properly document
-Perform quality control checks at the production line (process control)
Job Requirements include:
-Prior work experience in a quality control or assurance position
-Strong critical thinking & problem-solving ability
-Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal
-Past experience in food or manufacturing industries are preferred
Shift: 2:30pm-12:00am with overtime as needed
