SummaryThe Back Server / Runner serves food and beverage in a timely, friendly, and professional manner according to established standards and procedures. Essential Job FunctionsServe water and food to guestsAssist in clearing dishes from guestsExpedite food from kitchen to guestHelp with station set-up and side workMaintain the proper care and cleanliness of serving equipmentStack and handle china, glass, and silver to avoid damage Clean kitchen pick-up service station throughout shiftAssist in closing restaurant functions Attend daily pre-meal meetingsMaintain positive communication with service and kitchen staffMake manager aware of guest comments and complaintsDisplay knowledge of all menu itemsCarries tools necessary to perform job, i.e. crumbers, corkscrew, etcPerform other duties as assignedQualifications
Qualifications Must be over 16 years of age High School Diploma or high school equivalent preferred Six months to one year related experience preferredBasic knowledge of wine, food and cooking methods preferredAdditional Information
Supervision given and receivedGiven: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Received: Works under direct supervision of Restaurant Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently.
