Job Description
SummaryThe Food & Beverage Guest Associateposition at the Sundeck is a guest-facing customer service role. Main priorities include charging our guests for their meals quickly and accurately, keeping the restaurant clean, setting up and breaking down beverage stations as well as stocking and organizing various products for sale. As a Food & Beverage Guest Associateyou'llalso be expected to assist with polishing glassware and silverware, among other cleaning tasks including bussing tables and cafeteria trays. All staff are expected to be very friendly and respectful towards our guests, as they are the main point of interaction in the restaurant.Essential Functions of the Job Complete all opening and closing duties Count and maintain bank daily if on cashier duty Open register and notify manager of any problems Stock for the day and keep supplies full Know specials and price Charge customers the correct process and make change properly Balance daily report Responsible for charging for all employee meals Keep work areas clean, sanitary, and attractive Assist in end of the day restaurant cleaning Miscellaneous tasks as required Stock, bus and cashier duties as necessary Meet all standards of guest service as outlined in the 5 standards Financial Responsibility: Responsible for bank Responsible for correct charge and discount procedures Responsible for daily reconciliation of cash, charge, and drops Issue banks to cashier as necessary Make change as necessary Oversee close-outs as necessaryAdditional Job Duties: Make Manager aware of guest's comments and complaints Report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the employee handbook Report to shift on time Comply with all policies and procedures for the Food and Beverage Department, The Little Nell, and Aspen Skiing Company Is familiar with hotel fire and safety procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demandQualifications
High school diploma or equivalent

Supervision given and receivedGiven: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Received: Works under direct supervision of the Sundeck Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.Work Environment and physical demands Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistanceThe physical demands described here are representative of those thatmust be metby an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
