The Housekeeping Manager helps hire, train, and manage staff. They assign cleaning duties and daily focal points for each Room Attendant and Houseperson. They are ultimately responsible for the cleanliness levels within guest rooms and public areas.
This role typically pays around $55k midpoint. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience. All our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.Essential Job Functions Help train, hire, and manager Room Attendants, Housepeople, and Housekeeping Supervisors. Oversee the laundry department to ensure an adequate supply of linens and uniforms Maintain adequate labor levels to ensure an efficient operation Prepare weekly and daily schedules and room assignment schedules Ensure accuracy of employee payroll Ensure perpetual inspection of total room inventory is completed every 15 days Act in the capacity of the Housekeeping Director as required Assist in all linen and uniform inventories. Recommends purchases to the Director of Housekeeping Inspect rooms and public areas for overall cleanliness Set up evening shift tasks and conducts pre-shift meetings with PM staff to review their assignments Perform other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or equivalent required College degree preferred 2 years of management experience preferred 5 years of housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred Ability to communicate in English and Spanish preferred

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, frequent and detailed review of work, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Received: Works under limited supervision of Director of Housekeeping. Receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall objectives and is responsible for establishing strategical methods to attain them. Can formulate policies but does not necessarily have final authority for approval. Review of work is not detailed and emphasizes accomplishment of broad work objectives, rather than specific assignments.Work Environment and physical demands Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces. Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
