Job Description

The HR Manager provides human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, employee relations and legal compliance.

This role typically pays around $65,000, actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Recruits, interviews, tests, and onboard employees to fill vacant positions. Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals. Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting. Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment. Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization. Assists with the salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization. Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance. Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations. Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field 3 plus years in human resources required 2+ years in a human resources supervisory position required Knowledge of Word Processing software with advanced Excel skills and experience in HRIS/Payroll systems Compensation experience is a plus PHR, SHRM-CP, or CCP preferred.

Works under general supervision of the Director of Human Resources Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor’s directions and may perform routine tasks.
