System Engineer (Change Management) Location: Aurora, CO. Required Clearance: Secret

Job Description: ITEC is looking for a talented System Engineer to join our team. The Change Management Team (CMT) is responsible for formally submitting a response to all change requests from the customer. The ideal candidate has prior program/project management or proposal management experience and experience in satellite ground station software development experience with aerospace.

Job Responsibilities: • Receive the change document. • Create a schedule to deliver the response on time. • Schedule and run meetings to get information out to technical leads. • Gather impact assessments and basis of estimates from the tech leads; may include writing basis of estimates. • Create pricing input files. Check for accuracy. • Schedule and run meetings to get Program/Campus Engineering review of proposal. • Schedule and run meetings to get Program Management review of proposal (Gate 4)- can be all the way up to division management. • Work with contracts to submit proposal in compliance with program requirements. • Follow-up with answers to fact-finding with customer. • Support negotiations with customer. • Support post-negotiations incorporation into program baseline.

Required Skills: • Must know how to set up a short-term and long-term schedule. (Microsoft Project familiarity a plus). • Must be comfortable briefing large groups and upper management. • Must be able to put together concise and informative briefing packages (Microsoft PowerPoint). • Must be able to capture and manipulate data to present a summary to management (Microsoft Excel). • Must be able to interface with technical leads and interpret their bids into proposal format. • Must understand contractual requirements and ensure compliance. • Must be able to do some technical writing (or at least review). • Must be able to deal with extremely busy people who don't really have time to help put a proposal together. (Combination of helping, demanding, and knowing when to escalate a problem).
