This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Director and/or the Pharmacy Supervisor, the Pharmacist isresponsible forthe safe, effective and cost-effective use of drugs through the application of specialized knowledge, skills, and professional judgment.

The staff pharmacist shall perform drug packaging, patient billing, all aspects of drug compounding and distributions

Shall provide drug information and clinical service to all health professionals and patients, and monitor all aspects of drug therapy in the facility.

The staff Pharmacist supervises pharmacy technicians and interns. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications you will need for this role:

  • Licensure by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist within 90 days of start of Residency Program. BCLS and ACLS required within 90 days of start of Residency Program.
  • BS or Pharm D in Pharmacy required.
  • Previous Hospital Pharmacy experience desired.
  • Must have the ability to type and have effective oral and written communication skills and computer skills. Demonstrated skills commensurate with formal training.
