Here is some of what you can expect from being a Pharmacy Resident with us:

  • You will support the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person
  • You will be responsible for the safe, effective and cost-effective use of drugs through the application of specialized knowledge, skills, and professional judgment; under the supervision of the Pharmacy Director, Pharmacy Manager, and/or Pharmacy Supervisor
  • You will perform drug packaging, patient billing, all aspects of drug compounding and distributions, shall provide drug information and clinical service to all health professionals and patients, and monitor all aspects of drug therapy in the facility
  • You may supervise pharmacy technicians and interns
  • You will, when need arises, perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications you will need for this role:

  • Licensure by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist within 90 days of start of Residency Program
  • BCLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required within 90 days of start of Residency Program
  • BS or Pharm D in Pharmacy required
  • Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Must have the ability to type and have effective oral and written communication skills and computer skills. Demonstrated skills commensurate with formal training
