GPS OCX Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) Team has an immediate career opportunity for an experienced Systems Software Test Technician providing technical excellence for a large scale system development program. The candidate will execute a portion of the program’s test program and must possess knowledge of verification processes including baseline definition, test architecture design, test case and procedure development, execution, and reporting. Candidates will be responsible for definition and execution of formal testing and regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline for their technical scope - driving program performance; coordination with the test manager of the test products, schedules and resources. The selected candidate must exhibit ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness to solve particularly complex problems involving a diverse set of engineering disciplines. This candidate has experience with prior large scale Software Test activities, with troubleshooting, problem isolation, and problem solving skills on software and hardware based systems. This role will include focus on verification of a large satellite ground system, which is a mixture of new and reuse software products. The selected candidate must exhibit ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness to resolve particularly complex problems involving a diverse set of engineering disciplines. This candidate must be capable of developing a rapport within the Raytheon GPS OCX program and the customer community. This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $12K for a person with a TS/SCI clearance that can be verified and hired here at Raytheon Intelligence & Space.Required Skills: Knowledge and experience of the integration and verification of multiple COTS / GOTS products
Use of discrepancy report systems and developing closure plans
Experience testing software running on Windows and Linux based operating systems
Experience testing in a WebLogic based system
Experience troubleshooting, problem isolation of software and hardware based systems, including analyzing software logs and working with software and integration teams to resolve issues
Experience working across product teams in a complex multiple stakeholder environment
Thorough desire to learn, take initiative and contribute in a team-oriented environment
Knowledge of software development lifecycle models (waterfall and Agile)
Willing to work overtime and weekends as required to achieve milestones
Must be willing to work >50 hour work/week for extended periods of time.
Must be willing to travel; expect >50% travel for short duration (2-3 months)
An active and in-scope DoD SECRET US security clearance
Desired Skills:
Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract
Experience mentoring and leading small teams of integration or software engineers
Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations
Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with SW, Integration and Verification teams
Required Education:
Associates degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
