Senior Accountant

Position Summary The Senior Staff Accountant will maintain and control the General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization by applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).  This role will work with the Controller and Accounting Manager in overseeing Aspen Skiing Company General Ledger accounts.  This position reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller.Job Posting Deadline Applications for this position will be accepted until March 31, 2025.  The budgeted salary range for this position is $71,000 to $92,000.  Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus. Essential Job Functions/Key Job ResponsibilitiesReconcile and resolves differences on various bank account and balance sheet accounts Process and manages daily revenues  Provide accounting information to managers and others within the company; explaining accounting transactions; resolving accounting issues and discrepancies Manage and work with the Finance team on capital projects which includes processing and set-up of fixed assets  Manage specific balance sheet accounts by monthly reconciliations, entries and reviews Review monthly financial statements and investigate discrepancies and errors Provide critical analysis and resolutions on Aspen Skiing Company accounting problems via mathematical solutions Influence the business via written communication, specifically email  Other duties as assigned
