CaliberMRI, Inc. is a successful and growing 6-year-old Boulder manufacturing business, formerly a division of High Precision Devices, Inc. (HPD). CaliberMRI is a world leader in quantitative MRI, providing calibration phantoms and software.
Job Purpose
This role will be a key asset in the future growth of the company and potentially grow into a Controller position. The Senior Accountant is responsible for major reporting, reconciliation duties and human resources for the company. This position supports the Sales Team, Manufacturing Team, and other departments as needs require.
Duties and Responsibilities
Month end and annual close including journal entries, reconciliations and ad hoc reporting and analysis.
Monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
Manage cash and ensure adequate funding for projects.
Inventory accounting, standard and job costing.
Manage accounts payables.
Timely invoicing and management of accounts receivables.
Maintain client and vendor relations.
Manage recruiting and human resource function. Currently CaliberMRI has 4 employees, but expects managed growth over the next few years.
Cost analysis and data collection to assist the management team in making decisions.
Assist with audits.
Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of project and product revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures.
Monitor large project financial indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
Manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools.
Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth budget and project spend analysis.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, plus five years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, which qualifies the individual to perform the duties as described.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices with demonstrated ability to read and interpret financial statements and its components.
QuickBooks expertise
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skill. Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivate.
Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members on a collaborative basis.
Supervisory Responsibility
None.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, scanners and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Relocation
No relocation package is offered for this position.
Work Authorization
U. S. Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or other protected status under 8 U. S. C. 1324b(a)(3) is required for this position. HPD will not sponsor a work visa (e. g., J-1, H1-B, etc.) for this position.
