Math tutor needed for local tutoring company in Boulder. This is a part-time hourly job with 10 to 14 hours per week. Must be passionate about understanding and teaching all mathematical concepts from addition and subtraction all the way to geometry, calculus, and discrete probability. Flexibility in teaching approach and adapting to each student is a necessity. Further requirements:
ï· Bachelor's degree (or current upperclassman) in Math, Physics, Engineering, or other sufficiently quantitative field
ï· Mastery of mathematical concepts up to and including calculus
ï· Availability to work after school hours: 3pm-7pm on weekdays (during the school year, but daytime during summer)
ï· Experience working with kids 8-18
ï· Patience and dedication with students (and a sense of humor)!
ï· Ability to work with minimum supervision, 1-on-1 with students
ï· Creative inspiration in designing problems
ï· Punctuality
