About the Position
Dana V Music is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional piano teacher to teach part-time, initially focused on group classes. Our immediate need is for an instructor to teach in our group K-3 after-school programs taking place on-site at elementary schools in the Boulder Valley, but we are open to having successful candidates begin teaching private lessons in our Louisville studio over time as well.
The after-school programs run Monday to Friday during the school year, are one hour in length, and have start times ranging from 2:30 to 3:45 based on the schools dismissal time. You do not need to be available to teach every day of the week to apply, but preference will be given to instructors with more availability.
Pay for after-school class work is commensurate with experience but will generally be in the range of $35-$40 per hour. A 401(k) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 6 months on the job.
Successful candidates will have a strong music background, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a criminal background check required by the school district.
