The Assistant Manager will be an energetic and responsible animal lover who enjoys spending their days outside with adorable dogs in beautiful Colorado while also managing critical business activities. The job would start as part time while training and become full time by late Summer/early Fall.

Who We Are:

Off Road Paws is a dog fitness and pet sitting business. Our mission is to help owners keep their pets happy and healthy with a focus on providing dogs of all ages, medical conditions and sizes the individualized exercise and special care they need. We are currently offering many running, hiking and walking services for dogs. We offer in-home (no overnights) dog and cat sitting. Off Road Paws is a growing business and we are looking for candidates interested in helping with the dog fitness and pet sitting services, along with administrative and management work.

What You’ll Do:

This is a full time position working on average 30-35 hours per week performing the following duties:

20-25 hours per week of dog fitness and pet sitting visits, including dog running, walking and hiking.

7-10 hour per week of Management/Administrative support duties including scheduling, client communication, staff management and general management support.

This position works five days per week, including at least two weekends per month. Weekday hours are generally from 7am-3pm and after 6pm. Weekend hours are within 7am-7:30pm.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be interested in the long-term success of the company with a desire to pursue the potential opportunity for a partnership or buy-out of the business in future if a good fit.

Be comfortable working on a small, cohesive team.

Be experienced working with dogs of all sizes and personalities; experience with cats too strongly desired.

Have the ability to walk, run and hike for multiple hours in a day with up to three dogs at a time.

Be comfortable medicating dogs and cats.

Have past management experience including scheduling, management of employees, client communication and invoicing.

Have a 4WD or AWD car that can comfortably and safely hold two to three dogs at time; must be comfortable driving in snow.

What We Have To Offer:

The compensation for this position is dependent upon the type of work performed:

$19/hr-$25/hr for fitness and pet sitting services

o Additional pay with additional dogs and medication

$19/hr for management responsibilities to start. Compensation can grow with additional responsibilities.

Eligible employees receive partial monthly gas compensation, animal CPR course and flexible time off schedule. We do not offer other benefits at this time.

Must live in Louisville, Lafayette, Western Broomfield, Superior or S. Boulder. It is too much driving for the employee if you live outside of this area!

Please include a current resume and cover letter when responding. The cover letter should include why you are interested in the position, your availability during the week/weekends and whether you have a 4WD or AWD drive car that can safely hold two to three dogs at a time. Thank you!
