The Business Process Excellence (BPE) Specialist will successfully drive process improvement efforts across supply chain to achieve significant financial, operational, customer satisfaction, and/or employee satisfaction impact.

THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE WHERE YOU CAN WORK FROM HOME 1 - 2 DAYS A WEEK.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Supply Chain and Manufacturing staff and leaders to identify business critical process improvement needs aligned with the business unit goals, financial gaps, and business growth strategies.
  • Assists in maintaining the Supply Chain department metrics: designs, creates, and implements visual shop floor metrics performance systems and supports use of the metrics for opportunity identification.
  • Creates project proposals/business cases and has them approved by Supply Chain leadership to support opportunities.
  • Delivers benefits to the Supply Chain operations by successfully executing on process improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Leads cross-functional teams, including members of business/functional staff and external vendors, on projects from inception to benefit realization and control.
  • Tracks and reports project status and delivers results that achieve or surpass projects targets based on key performance indicators, customer satisfaction, or employee satisfaction improvement objectives.
  • Meets project timelines to manage realization of project benefits.
  • Communicates to and influences business stakeholders, customers, and suppliers of all levels.
  • Develops and maintains productive relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
  • Acts as an ambassador and change agent of the Operational Excellence team to build a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Drives adoption of tools and methods by reinforcing the value proposition.
  • Participates in the propagation of Operational Excellence knowledge across the business unit through the delivery of OE training and other informal sessions
  • Mentors & coaches manufacturing and team members in project work, helping them understand and utilize a portfolio of OE and change management tools

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • B.S./ B.A. degree and at least 10 years of related industry experience
  • Process knowledge in biotechnology production a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence others
  • Ability to coach/mentor others
  • Skilled in priority setting and problem solving
  • Skilled in project management

  • Strong interpersonal savvy
