Prep Cook/Line Cook/Dishwasher Responsibilities
Include:
Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
Preparing ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Cooks to prepare meals during our dining hours
Cooking food in various utensils or grillers, etc
Check food while cooking to stir or turn
Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly and store food items at appropriate temperatures
Check quality of ingredients
Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Communicate with customers when needed
Requirements
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
Ability to work in a team
Able to read and follow standardized recipes
Very good communication skills/customer service skills
High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage but not required
