Identifies and marks buried water, sewer, and storm water infrastructures by referencing utility prints and using specialized locating equipment. Primary responsibilities include performing a variety of technical tasks of routine to moderate difficulty related to the City's utility operations and providing assistance and information to staff and the public.
Accurately and within strict time constraints locate underground utilities, often in the right-of-way as requested through UNCC (Utility Notification Center of Colorado). Work includes a high level of responsibility and ability to respond to emergency requests.
Must possess a valid Colorado Class "R" driver's license and maintain a safe driving record. This position is on call frequently. Be able to respond to City emergencies such as utility damage, water main breaks, etc. within 30 minutes.
