Acara is looking for a Fabrication Technician for our client in Boulder, CO on a temp to direct opportunity. Pay is $17.00/hr.
Performs various optical fabrication processes including but not limited to: beveling, milling, blocking, grinding, and inspection/measurements.
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints; understands process steps.
1st M-F 7-3:30pm or 3rd - M-F 3-11:30pm

Required Skills / Qualifications:
-Inspects and cleans parts
-Basic reading and comprehension of prints for basic dimensions
-Teamwork - works effectively within team and across departments. Provides guidance lower levels techs and provides input to higher level techs and engineers. May take on a lead role for a specific department project
-Critical Thinking/problem solving skills
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
-Able to follow detailed instructions without variance.
-Checks work before signing off on completion.
-Records information on the process sheets correctly.
-Turns off equipment and places tools, components, and paperwork in designated storage locations before leaving the area.
-Schedule minded: Willing to occasionally work overtime or off-shifts to support the shipment schedule.
-Willingness to help continually improve the assembly department's products.
-Knowledge or experience with various assembly / alignment techniques, adhesive dispensing and curing, shimming techniques, use of torque limiting tools a plus.
