Manufacturing Technician / Assembler
We are a small, established, body powered prosthetic company interviewing for a full-time position for parts finishing, assembly and production. We have a great team and working environment and are looking for the right person to help out around the shop and build prosthetics.
No experience in Prosthetics required.
Job Description:
Entry level position, will help an all phases of prosthetic assembly.
Build assemblies from start to finish.
Will be expected to keep shop organized and clean to provide a safe work environment.
Permanent position, 37.5hr work week, friendly, non-smoking environment.
Hours: 7:30- 4 M-Th, 7-Noon Friday.
30-day trial period.
Certain benefits after 90 days
2-weeks paid vacation after 6 months of employment
Annual working contract
$16 minimum per hour, wage based on experience
Requirements and work ethics:
Must have general shop experience
Must have working knowledge of shop tools; Belt Sanders, Band Saw, Drill Press and "Dremel" type hand held rotary grinders
Parts finishing experience
Mechanical Assembly Experience
Experience working in a production shop
Ability to follow written assembly procedures
Take Direction
Attention to detail and accuracy
Self-motivated and responsible
Reliable automobile
Fluent in English
Safety conscious
Basic math skills, working with ratios
Must be able to stand or sit for 5hrs
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Experience with quality control and assembly protocols and procedures a plus
Experience with hand casting polyurethane a plus
Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter. We don't micro manage and provide a positive culture of self-responsibility.
