Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for a team of Associates whose primary objective is to consistently meet set production goals while complying with cGMP standards.

We are seeking an outstanding individual with the ability to work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The right candidate will have the necessary experience and confidence to be ready to jump in, collaborate across departments, and provide critical support for all production processes within the CW Hemp Boulder facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Meet all department metrics

Organize and implement weekly and daily tasks to be carried out by Production Associates and Senior Manufacturing Associates

Reliably and accurately provide shift reports and facilitate updates of daily and weekly production numbers within the Master Manufacturing Schedule

Manage the continuous training and subsequent documentation of new and current employees

Ensure that all required documentation and production logs are being completed on a daily basis and that new documents are available in all production areas

Continually monitor production processes for compliance and follow the appropriate protocols for quality/compliance challenges

Continually monitor production processes for efficiency and facilitate the development and improvement of processes

Ensure that all processes are adequately set-up for the next days production

Work with the Inventory team to ensure that all materials needed for each full week of production are on hand by the beginning of each week

Work in conjunction with the Master Manufacturing Scheduler to make sure that all production areas are staffed sufficiently and appropriately at all times

Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations during production hours

Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required, must be 18 years of age

Prior experience managing personnel a must

Commercial cGMP and/or manufacturing experience strongly preferred, food industry experience a plus

Working knowledge of (or willingness to learn) CGMP, HACCP, OSHA and other regulatory and safety requirements a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Attention to detail

History working on or overseeing an automated production line; troubleshooting, changeovers, operation

Able to keep calm in a crisis and assist in re-prioritizing team activities

Able to multitask and prioritize a large and diverse task load

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Must have a high sense of urgency and take ownership of assigned tasks

Must be able to work a flexible schedule that fluctuates in response to production demands

Time management skills and comfort working in fast paced environment

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Physical demands: This position splits time between the production and an office environment. While performing duties of this job, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; stooping and crouching is frequent. This job requires physical stamina. Employee is required to stand for the majority of their shift. Must demonstrate good manual dexterity and be able to perform repetitive tasks. Needs to be able to perform sanitation tasks without direct supervision. Must use proper protective equipment when performing duties.

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in a production environment. The noise level is usually moderate.
