Acara is looking for a QA Technician for our client in Boulder, CO on a temp to direct opportunity. Pay is $17.00/hr.
Primary Responsibility: Work under direct supervision to perform various quality assurance tasks. Perform a variety of inspection techniques to assure conformance to print as required by customer.
1st M-F 7-3:30pm or 3rd - M-F 3-11:30pm
QA Technician Basic Qualifications:
-Interest in learning new skills and keeping pace with changing technologies
-Ability to problem solve and work with others to find the best solution
-Precision in your work and attention to all details
-On-point, genuine interpersonal and written communication skills
-Capability to work independently and self-motivate
-A passion for craftsmanship
-Three to five years of hands-on optics manufacturing experience
-Clean and perform final inspection and measurements of coated optics.
-Read and follow prints and process sheets.
-Use of calipers, drop gauges, video microscopes, comparators, microscopes, and other tools as required for inspections.
-Basic computer skills and ability to complete First Article Inspections and Inspection Sheets.
-Ability to read coating scans, interferometer scans, and material certs.
-Fine motor skills (ability to pick up and handle small optics with tweezers and write identification on optics per print.
-Package and label optics per print.

-Turns off equipment and places tools, components, and paperwork in designated storage locations before leaving the area.
-Schedule minded: Willing to occasionally work overtime or off-shifts to support the shipment schedule.
-Willingness to help continually improve the assembly department's products.
-Knowledge or experience with various assembly / alignment techniques, adhesive dispensing and curing, shimming techniques, use of torque limiting tools a plus.
