Job Title: Executive Director

Reports to: Chairman of Board

Location: St. Vrain Valley School District region (Longmont, CO)

Time: 40 hrs per week

Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year (commensurate with experience and fund raising)

Benefits: Vacation: 1 week first year, 2 weeks at 1st anniversary, 3 weeks at 5th anniversary

We believe that single parents are some of the world's most courageous people. That's why we have made it our mission to support single parent families along the road to self-sufficiency. Our programs, which range from kid mentoring to car clinics, fill gaps in existing community safety nets and make the difference by focusing on skill building and independence. By providing opportunities to single parent families in Boulder County, Longmont and the surrounding areas, The Pearl Group helps build a stronger more robust community of neighbors. Being a faith based organization; we are responsible of ethically following biblical principles in all decisions and activities.

SUMMARY: The Executive Director will implement initiatives directed by the Board of Trustees, including funding development, the 5 year vision, annual objectives and provides direction for the monthly tactical activities. The Executive Director, as a member of the Leadership Team and reporting to the Chairman of Board, is financially and legally responsible for managing our resources to fulfill the ministry providing hope and stability for single parents and their children. This will be evidenced by the achievement of established goals and objectives, an environment of continuous improvement, and effective expansion and growth of programs and services per the 5 year plan.

JOB CONTENT: Essential duties and responsibilities include:

To ensure proper administration and management of The Pearl Group ("Pearl") while maintaining the highest standards of excellence by:

Development:

In conjunction with the Board of Directors you will be in charge of overseeing all development programs to assure the ministries financial health including but not limited to:

1. Responsible for personal relational major donor development.

2. Create and implement donor acquisition strategies.

3. Oversee and maximize fund-raising campaigns/events.

4. Manage and oversee the Development Director and/or Consultants.

5. Actively participate in fund-raising campaigns/events.

6. Responsible for responding to request for proposals from grants and foundations.

7. Coordinate and develop church support programs.

8. Manage gifts-in-kind.

9. Coordinate on-going donor communications (newsletters, e-blasts, web site).

Administration:

1. Providing managerial support, direction, supervision, and training to the Program Leads and other staff.

2. Provide clear leadership and promote and foster a team culture consistent with the ministries values and biblical principles of dealing with people.

3. Recruit, hire, and train skilled, spiritually mature volunteers and staff to positions, and establish appropriate salaries and performance-based criteria for personal and professional development.

4. Conduct written and oral evaluations of staff on a yearly basis.

5. Insure that Pearl policies and procedures are carried out, as well as, coordinate with appropriate staff member(s) new policies to be approved and implemented.

7. Facilitate and attend all Leadership meetings and present a monthly report per the defined status report structure.

Fiscal Management:

1. Responsible for the fiscal resource management of Pearl

2. Oversees preparation of the annual operating budget for eventual distribution to the Board of Directors for approval.

3. Assures that the Board Chairman is receiving timely and accurate financial reports.

4. Oversee expenditures for budgeted expenses and purchases.

5. Assures the monthly metric reports are maintained and current.

Public Relations/Marketing

1. Educate the local community, including churches, pastors, community groups, and the professional communities about Pearl with the goal of obtaining support and involvement of the ministry.

2. Responsible for keeping Pearl's program available to all constituencies through various means including but not limited to:

Brochures

Media contacts

Multi-media development

Public Service Announcements

Radio initiatives

Press releases and Media Contact

Web-site development

Community Development

Responsible for developing relationships with strategic members of the community including but not limited to:

1. Professional Outreach

2. Ministry Outreach

3. Business Outreach

4. Creating relationships and networking with local government, school, and community agencies that serve our clients needs

5. Outreach into other communities for the purpose of helping others plant new Pearl-like organizations

Church Development

1. Attend the weekly Single Mom's night at LBCC

2. Meet monthly with the LBCC Single Parent's Director to ensure highly synergistic programs

3. Church presentations

4. Church Resource Development

5. Sunday Bulletin Inserts

6. Monthly Pastors Letter

7. Weekly Pastor Email

MIS/Technical support

Maintaining a working relationship with our 3rd party computer support team. Maintaining and updating the Pearl web site with timely and fresh material on a weekly basis.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Some or all of the following skills are required. Minimum of [10] years of experience.

1. Demonstrate a consistent walk with Jesus Christ in a personal and professional life.

2. Demonstrate a passion for providing mercy and empowerment for single .

3. Active commitment in a local church.

4. Strategic vision and planning.

5. Successful track record of funding development.

6. Community network relationships that could benefit in the growth.

7. Grant writing experience.

8. Demonstrated leadership skills for volunteer and employee based organizations.

9. Strong writing and public speaking skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

1. Faith based Christian work environment during all activities.

2. Full time exempt position.

3. Local travel expected.
