We are seeking an enthusiastic individual excited about a unique opportunity at Boulder's only social enterprise retail clothing boutique. Ramble on Pearl is owned and operated by Boulder Treasures, Inc., a nonprofit that creates pathways to meaningful employment for adults with developmental disabilities through an apprentice program. At Ramble, we teach critical work skills to our Apprentices through paid on-the-job training and then help them secure meaningful employment in the community. Reporting to both our Apprenticeship Program Manager and the Retail Store Manager, the Apprentice Job Coach mentors our Apprentices within the store environment and is responsible for overall retail store operations as a keyholder during shifts when the Store Manager is not present.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understand, embrace and emanate Boulder Treasures' mission and be a true ambassador for our Apprentices.

Train our Apprentices in the soft and hard skills of employment at Ramble on Pearl.

Assist our Apprentices in preparing for independent employment with local area employers.

Assist the Apprenticeship Program Manager in managing the process by which our Apprentices move through the various stages of our program.

Assist the Retail Store Manager in day-to-day operations of the store (keyholder).

Provide exemplary customer service and create a positive experience for our customers as they explore the range of products available at Ramble on Pearl and learn about our Apprentices and our mission.

Perform all retail store opening, operating and closing procedures.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have the following expertise:

Demonstrate enthusiasm for working alongside employees with developmental disabilities to help them grow and secure greater employment opportunities.

Display strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.

Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills.

Self-motivated and sales oriented, with outstanding integrity required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent customer service skills with interest in retail, demonstrated experience preferred (especially retail clothing).

Basic computer literacy for reporting and POS procedures.

Interest in or experience with social media as a marketing tool a plus.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

4 year college degree or minimum two years experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.

JOB DETAILS:

Regularly Scheduled Workdays: Monday through Friday, plus other days as needed from time-to-time

30-40 hours/week
