We are looking for a detail oriented Project Coordinator in our Purchasing Dept. to manage vendor information and prepare purchase plans for the procurement of products. Someone who can wear many hats, think globally about impacts of decisions, effectively prioritize projects; balancing the current and long term needs of the business. We need someone who will not disappoint - this person must be a go-getter, a self-starter and a huge team player!

POSITION DUTIES

Work under the guidance of our Operations Manager to ensure purchasing decisions align with Company goals

Source new items as needed

Obtain product data and pricing for new items and analyze profitability

Assist in evaluation of vendor qualifications based on pricing, availability and other factors

Organize and create purchase plans for customer PO's

Assist in the execution of purchase plan with vendors

Work closely with Warehouse Manager to coordinate shipments, returns and due dates

Monitor/manage price points and update product/pricing changes into the system

Manage effective and productive vendor relationships

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

An eye for detail and sense of urgency

Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner by gathering and analyzing information skillfully

A highly motivated, independent and professional personality

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Good organizational and time management skills

Ability to handle data with confidentiality

2+ years in an office setting

Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel a MUST) and computer navigation and research
