Boulder Furniture Arts is hiring! We're a 35-year old furnituremaker and mom-and-pop company, with a uniquely awesome small team culture. This is the opposite of a corporate gig : ) THIS IS NOT A WOODWORKING POSITION.
Part-time to full-time in our downtown showroom/workshop at 26th and Pearl.
Requirements:
Dedication to Boulder (outdoor life, sustainability, casual luxury) AND fine furniture
Google Suite (sheets, docs, drive)
Extreme attention to detail
Excellent people skills - adaptability to different types of clients is essential
Self-starter, independent and driven with ability to work alone and in groups
Flexibility to perform a wide variety of tasks from the fun sales/design stuff to cleaning the showroom to data entry to assisting on deliveries
Minimum of three days/week availability including Saturdays and Tuesdays from 10-6
Must enjoy bowling
Tasks:
SALES of made-to-order and custom wood furniture
Drawing/modeling of designs
Production schedule management
Front-to-back communication between clients & craftspeople
Sourcing of slabs & hardware
Social media management TBD
Experience in custom furniture sales is not required. Understanding of furniture design history/art history, interior design, architecture, engineering and/or wood science are a big plus. Working interviews will be conducted with promising applicants.
